When do I need to get a travel vaccination?

Vaccine appointments should ideally be scheduled 4-6 weeks before your departure to ensure adequate time between when you are vaccinated and when you leave.  However, even if you are leaving in a few days, a visit with us will be beneficial in helping you to minimize risk associated with travel, and some vaccinations can still be administered.

The center for disease control divides vaccinations into three categories: routine, recommended, and required.  The only vaccine classified as “required” by International Health regulations is the Yellow fever vaccination for travel to certain countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and South America.
